Artist's Comments

It's just a lighting exercise, nothing out of ordinary
I've found this work while I was revisiting my old scenes. I've decided to re-render it.

Also in another version, I've tried to simulate chromatic aberration with lens tricks and also applied a little lens distortions to achieve "a shot form a cheap digital camera" effect :) You can see on this [link]

Here is the wireframe version [link]

3dsmax, vray, fusion and photoshop were used during production.

"Description" kısmını okursan ordaki linklerde var.
Hayatın boyunca bir gün bile okumadın orayı, ne anlatıyor hiç dinlemedin. Hayırlısı... Ne yapacağız seninle bilmiyorum.

Gotta love your realism qualities! You go that little bit further that makes so much difference, would love to know how you do it! Write a tutorial :)

Fusion, whats that then?

Oh, I'm honored. I think I'm not so expert to write a tutorial but I'm trying to help my colleagues as much as I can.

Besides, I've no time to write a tutorial like "ok now, switch Lightcahe to QMC, adaptive subdivisons -1, 3. Hit render. Open Photoshop, make a new layer" but I seriously want to write some "making of" nowadays. The "Making of"s are more educational than others I think.

Fusion is a compositing program like After Effects, Combustion and Shake. You can edit 32bit file formats with it. HDR, RLA, openEXR, etc... These formats can give us more control on shadows/highlights and also wide range of color levels. You can try google or wikipedia for further info. I've no special reason for choosing Fusion, You can do the same with other softwares I mentioned above.

About "...to know how you do it!"; I usually work on Post Production stage. I don't play too much with lighting in my scene. No extra omnis, spotlights or ambient lights, Just a main direct light for sunlight, and a skylight for environment. I usually render them with passes (lighting, raw GI, reflection, refraction, etc...) I composite and blend these passes to achieve a proper lighting an also I've more color correction and leveling control on each pass.
Vray, Mental Ray, Final Render, Maxwell or another render engine can do the same procedure. I choose Vray The software and plug-ins are only the tools. We can simply learn them on manuals and documentations.

I hope this smalltalk can help you a bit. Anyway, I'm really glad you like :)
